of hand knit socks…

sock 3

finished just in time for summer!

first socks

started way back when & then put away for a while so I could recover from  the trauma of attempting to turn heels while remembering to breathe at the same time.

what a journey & huge learning curve this little pair have been! phewy! BUT I bloomin’ well got there in the end & am chuffed to bits. The process of the make  finally clicked thanks to much  assistance,  unknitting  & encouragement from an ever patient friend.

Will I venture into sock knitting again? Sure, I actually really enjoyed the challenge & hand knit socks are a luxury I could get used to. Now I ‘get’ it hopefully the next pair will be a breeze!

I am completing my first pair if knit sucks and I’m totally hooked. Well done you for completing yours too.

They look lovely. I’ve never managed a sock – I need one of those patient sock-knitting friends I think. I do have a ball of sock yarn though. That’s a start.

Nice socks! I have also been trying (yet failing) to make my first pair of socks. Everything is perfect but once I get to the heel everything falls apart. I’ve yet to complete my project so I can totally relate with your previous trauma.

Nova they are stunning! Xxx I am in awe. I still can’t manage knitting in the round…..I must, must get over this soon. Stunning colour as always on your projects. I am sooo jealous! x

you’re better than me. :) I think I officially say that knitting is not my place where I’m good at. I’m far too bad at it. I know that not breathing part, too. Knitting is a craft for others. :)
Congratulations on your first socks! They look great!
