& it sure is.
I was so excited to receive a charm pack of Lotta Jansdotter’s soon to be released fabric line ‘Bella‘ from the lovely folks at Windham
I made a couple of drawstring bags (in custom sizes using my fave drawstring bag pattern) , mixing in some solids, moda crossweave & other scraps from the stash that tied in nicely with Bella including some of Lotta’s first line Echo & even a bit of upcycled shirt. I lined them with grey & white stripey seersucker from the charity shop.
The coral is so pretty with the teal & grey.
& I couldn’t resist adding a little stitching ( I simply traced the design from the fabric, enlarged it, then traced it on to solid fabric to stitch over)
I don’t use a lot of yellow but really like this bold, old gold (with an almost greenish tint) colour, especially with that scrummy vibrant blue!
& this one got the stitchy treatment too. That bird design is just so cute!
Bella will be on the shelves at a fabric store near you in August….yippee! In the meantime more sneak peeks of Bella have been popping up here, here, here, here & here :)

Oh my!! These are so awesome, Nova! LOVE the little tabs on the strings ends! :)
Eevry time I visit you – you make me squeal. Love these Nova xxx
Really gorgeous, as alway! I’m looking forward to making some of your bags and containers. I’m a bit slow on the uptake with fabric, didn’t get my act together fast enough to get my favourite Echo prints, so must be more proactive when this comes out!
Oh they are lovely Nova! I can’t wait to get my hands on some Bella too :)
Oh the bags look brilliant!

I’d love to have a charm pack, too. But unfortunately I think I’m one of the people who just have to buy in August ;)

My favourite bag pattern too! Just made four in the last week ;-) Those fabrics are beautiful, great combination.
