note to self…

*finish stuff off*

I think that might be my resolution for 2012.

I’m not sure quite what happened in ’11, but I ended up with 5 unfinished quilt tops by the end of the year.  Not too drastic I know but it’s a slippery slope ;)  (well, I do know what happened-  attention span of a gnat, that’s what!!!)

I’m aiming to finish a wip quilt before I move on to a new quilt, then finish that one before I finish another wip then onto a new one & so on….. sound fair? I think so :)

First across the finish line will be the shirt quilt.

It’s basted & quilting has begun. woot!

shirt quilt note to self...

next off the starting block will be a quilt I have been hankering to get my teeth into for too long now. My blue stack is finally complete & is patiently waiting in the wings.

Do you have more quilts to finish off  than you know what to do with too?

So, I’m not alone — drowning in stuff that I just have a little of this or a little of that to finish so it can go to the quilter. We’ll see how this progresses, if I can hold out from starting just one more thing!

Wow, I wish you the best of luck finishing all of these quilts! Sadly, I don’t have the sewing skills to have any quilts-in-progress. Haha.

I too had five unfinished quilts at the start of 2012 and two unfinished table runners! (Six quilts if you count the handsewn, hexagon quilt I started in the 1970′s using Liberty fabrics which I have added to the January UFO list AGAIN with a rueful smile!)
At least I have made a start on finishing the other five – my completed ABC123 quilt appears on my blog today!
I won’t tell you how many quilt projects there are on the list waiting to be started though!

Oh my word … I have an entire box full & I’m not talking small box here (arms stretched out wide) … I have set myself a goal of working on these UFO’s one evening a week. The trouble is I have scheduled two evenings a week for new projects. YIKES … when will I learn!

Almost too many to count! (Actually I counted them a year ago and almost wish I hadn’t) :)

Heh, I actually joined a finish-along to encourage me through my list of WIPs :D Sounds like a plan for the mix with new stuff though

Yes it is precisely that – a slippery slope. I might be over-worried about this, but I get nervous once I have 4+ projects going. Like now. Must finish!
