when I offered up a little swap recently I also decided my swap partner would get a little extra made just for them.
My swap partner is Krista & I had an inkling what she might like….
Yonks ago I had made a couple of flag mug rugs ( a Union Jack & a Swedish flag). At the time Krista, the cheeky minx that she is ;), sent me a picture of the Canadian flag with a “… just sayin’ … !” kind of a note ;)
So to add to my series (does 3 count as a series?!) of mug rugs of the world, a Canadian flag mug rug is what was stitched up & sent to Krista along with her new pillow
with a scrappy patchwork back with 3 fab Aussie designers in the mix (Saffron Craig, Umbrella Prints & Pippiejoe) to match it all in with her pillow.
I’m glad it made you laugh Krista ;) x

Love it! I’m a Canadian myself, so of course a little maple leaf flag is something that makes me smile. Love the added detail of all the stitches.
That’s a fabulous rug mug Nova. I love the Union Jack one too ;)
Very nice indeed!
It made me laugh and laugh, Nova. Finally, the hints paid off with someone. hehe. I am SO utterly smitten with my new pillow and lovely stitched flag. I did notice those gorgeous screen prints on the back, too and it seems I’m still discovering more on the pillow each time I look at it. Heartfelt thanks friend.xxx
