a bloggy workshop

by Nova on July 13, 2011

I love the world of crafty & quilty blogs.  Whatever the reason we blog for, there’s no denying it’s fun and opens us up to whole world of like minded gals and guys all talking our language. Love that. It’s like the biggest & bestest quilt group in the world that’s open 24/7 & positively bursting with inspiration.

When Stacey contacted me a couple of weeks ago wondering if I held blog forums, to be honest I didn’t really have a clue what that was!   So  I joined her for a cuppa & a chat on the deck of her gorgeous quilt  retreat nestled in the hills of Buderim here on the Sunny Coast & an idea was hatched.

As it turns out there are a few folks out there who wouldn’t mind a bit of hand holding when it comes to the world of blogging.  Like anything I guess , easy when you know how  but daunting and frustrating for some.

So if you are in South East Queensland,  in a bit of a bloggy rut, need help ‘behind the scenes’ with settings or codes, baffled by buttons, or you’ve decided you’ve been lurking too long and want  ‘in’ on Blogland but no idea of the where, how or who;  then why not join us for an afternoon of  hands-on bloggy fun :) There’ll be cake too! If you don’t have a blog already, you will leave with one, along with the basic know-how of running it. If you have particular questions you need help with we’ll do  our best to get that sorted too.

I am not a techspert by any stretch  but I am passionate about our online quilting and crafting community and would love to help you out & be a part of it. Guaranteed no geek speak or techie talk. I’m pretty sure I’ll know what you mean when you’re talking about the doobie that goes on the side of the whatsit  ;)

Won’t you join us…?

When:: Sat 3rd September

Time:: tbc (the workshop will run for 2 hours with a break for afternoon tea)

I sooooo want to join in this fun. I googled the directions: It’s 15,109 miles with 2,756 kayak miles to Hawaii then google says to kayak across the Pacific to Japan, then I am to drive on several toll roads in Japan and again kayak across the Pacific to enter the Northern Territory of Australia :0) Anyway, maybe someday I can come to see your wonderful land!!! I really enjoy your blog and your wonderful creations. Blessings of joy, Michelle

Would so love to come up. Any chance that you might have it on your blog at a later stage?

Oh how I wish I could come, I SO need some help with this blogging lark! I’ve only completed x2 posts & there is so much I want to do but am rubbish at techie stuff & really struggle sometimes. Sadly it’s a bit far to travel from the UK but who knows maybe some kind soul will arrange one here someday. Have a fantastic time!

Hi – count me in – for once I’m on the right side of the Pacific. BUT I’m not new to blogging, so probably will be there more for the company and the view and cuppa if that’s OK. Kate
