Oh Nova! What a gorgeous quilt! Your embroidery is amazing! :)
That is absolutely gorgeous, I love it. You must be so pleased with it. The details are just superb on the embroidery.
Seriously, this came out so beautifully! What a fantastic personalized project. Such a great way to express yourself and your loves and interests. Are all of your patterns printed onto stabilizer? Some of your patterns are so amazingly intricate.
Very cute and such a happy color.
It’s wonderful Nova! A real work of art – with lots of memories attached too I imagine.
Spec-tac-u-lar!
Wow – what alot of work but so worth it. Your quilt will be beautiful when completed- a real heirloom piece.

This is so amazing to see all of these lovely stitcheries in a photo mosaic. Even more impressive to see them pieced together! I really love this project you worked on, especially because it was a long distance project with your mum and there was so much thought put into each design.

Lisa
Gorgeous!!!
It’s pieced already! Oh my! I feel a bit teary, actually. This project is how I came to find your blog and I’ve loved it all the way along. I just find it so heartwarming that you and your mom did this together. Maybe because I’m so far from my mom, too. I just love your middle monogram/silhouette row. So lovely. Congratulations Nova. It’s a masterpiece.
What to say? Nova – cool!!!! This will be something to treasure always. You will just want to pick it up and look at it all the time, remembering different moments sparked by the stitcheries. Wow and wow:) Ciao
A beautiful heirloom you’ve made there & I’m sure each of those embroideries mean something special how wonderful.
Hi Nova
The journey has been fun to watch, but the destination is awesome, but a little sad, what can I look forwardto now? Will you start another take-along project to share with us?
Benta
This is wonderful! I love the red, and the embroidery and the patchwork and the vintage feel it has!
Wow, it looks even better than I expected! Now I’m even more desperate to finish quilting my hexagon quilt so I can get started on a redwork one.
I’ve loved watching these multiply, you even persuaded me to give Redwork a try and now I’m in a 12 month swap.
Great idea, perfect embroidery. Do you mind if I began similar project another color?
Oh my word it is stunning!
What size will it be when it is all finished?
wow, this quilt is gorgeous! I can’t believe how much hard work has gone into it , but well worth it!
WoW! I don’t know if I could use the finished quilt after all that work. You need to hang it or something once it is done. How cool to have a quilting swap with your mom!
OMG Nova, it’s ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! I just LOVE IT! What a treasure this is! BEAUTIFUL!
LOVE LOVE LOVE :)
NOW, I want to make one too:) Yours came out so wonderful and I REALLY enjoyed watching the progress throughout the months!

Nova, my best friend and I are going to take this project in January. We were both so inpired by what you and your mom shared that we decided that this project was cutting to the front of the line!
We are still trying to decide what size the blocks should be. What size did you and your mom agree on? ;0
Thanks.
oh! amazing.. your hands like the sewing machine^^*
Followed the link from Feeling Stitchy and I am ever glad I did! I loves all things red and have done a bit of redwork myself. Your project is over-the-top wonderful:)
Happy Holidays!
Oh Nova, it’s simply stunning! I love it! It will be just beautiful hand quilted. Yay!!! I won’t see you in January after all as I have taken a locum job in Wagga Wagga and won’t be back in Qld until the end of January, and then I start work. Oh well, it was a nice thought. Merry xmas and a happy new year dear blogger friend!
OMG!
Wow, this is incredible… and totally inspiring! I just started embroidering and now I’m going to have to add something like this to my long list of to-do projects. Thanks a lot! :P
But honestly, the holiday vibe of the red is just stunning. My Mom would die on the spot if she unwrapped something like this for xmas. Hmm… maybe next year…
Wow – that is the most amazing quilt I have ever set eyes upon!!
How inspiring! I adore redwork and you’ve really inspired me to start a project soon!
Wow! This is just gorgeous! So much work going into the quilt. I love the contemporary touch of it like the kichen aid machine or the keep calm and carry on squares. I’m looking forward to see the final quilt.

I both quilt and embroider, but I haven’t done any big projects blending the two, this is so inspiring! I think I’ll do one, over a long period of time, making embroidered squares for big (or small!) life moments. I think the idea of capturing life in such a slow and deliberate way is appealing in the age of facebook updates (which I do too many of!)
