Seriously, this came out so beautifully! What a fantastic personalized project. Such a great way to express yourself and your loves and interests. Are all of your patterns printed onto stabilizer? Some of your patterns are so amazingly intricate.

This is so amazing to see all of these lovely stitcheries in a photo mosaic. Even more impressive to see them pieced together! I really love this project you worked on, especially because it was a long distance project with your mum and there was so much thought put into each design.

It’s pieced already! Oh my! I feel a bit teary, actually. This project is how I came to find your blog and I’ve loved it all the way along. I just find it so heartwarming that you and your mom did this together. Maybe because I’m so far from my mom, too. I just love your middle monogram/silhouette row. So lovely. Congratulations Nova. It’s a masterpiece.

Nova, my best friend and I are going to take this project in January. We were both so inpired by what you and your mom shared that we decided that this project was cutting to the front of the line!

We are still trying to decide what size the blocks should be. What size did you and your mom agree on? ;0

Thanks.

Oh Nova, it’s simply stunning! I love it! It will be just beautiful hand quilted. Yay!!! I won’t see you in January after all as I have taken a locum job in Wagga Wagga and won’t be back in Qld until the end of January, and then I start work. Oh well, it was a nice thought. Merry xmas and a happy new year dear blogger friend!

But honestly, the holiday vibe of the red is just stunning. My Mom would die on the spot if she unwrapped something like this for xmas. Hmm… maybe next year…

Wow! This is just gorgeous! So much work going into the quilt. I love the contemporary touch of it like the kichen aid machine or the keep calm and carry on squares. I’m looking forward to see the final quilt.

I both quilt and embroider, but I haven’t done any big projects blending the two, this is so inspiring! I think I’ll do one, over a long period of time, making embroidered squares for big (or small!) life moments. I think the idea of capturing life in such a slow and deliberate way is appealing in the age of facebook updates (which I do too many of!)
